5. If the specimen is already in liquid, place a drop in the middle of the slide and add the<br />

coverslip as you would for a dry specimen.<br />

Procedure<br />

1. Log into your <strong>eScience</strong> Student Portal account and locate the “How Big Is It” demonstra-<br />

on under the Introducon secon.<br />

2. Load the animaon and beginning with the head of a pin, increase the magnificaon by<br />

clicking the arrows below the picture. Note the relave sizes of the objects on the pinhead.<br />

3. Be sure to noce the magnificaon bar on the lower poron of the demonstraon that<br />

shows the magnificaon required to see the objects.<br />
