Pen wears her mass <strong>of</strong> blonde curls mussed up<br />
on <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>p <strong>of</strong> her head. She has strong features<br />
dom<strong>in</strong>ated by large blue eyes and radiates health.<br />
She is my English rose.<br />
We did not waste time with niceties.<br />
“Remove your blazer and place your hands on<br />
your head,” she <strong>in</strong>structed me as soon as I walked<br />
through <strong>the</strong> door.<br />
Penny Ann is a quiet and gentle gal by nature<br />
but she served a year <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> role <strong>of</strong> Red-shirt at <strong>the</strong><br />
unit and was responsible for discipl<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g hundreds <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>in</strong>mates. She taught herself <strong>the</strong> art <strong>of</strong> exud<strong>in</strong>g<br />
strength and patrician authority.<br />
I did as I was <strong>to</strong>ld.<br />
Penny s<strong>to</strong>od up and set <strong>the</strong> crop <strong>to</strong> one side.<br />
She <strong>to</strong>ok <strong>of</strong>f her black lea<strong>the</strong>r gloves and slowly<br />
unfastened <strong>the</strong> five but<strong>to</strong>ns down <strong>the</strong> front <strong>of</strong> her<br />
jacket.<br />
<strong>The</strong> stable was quite dark, with just <strong>the</strong><br />
candles flicker<strong>in</strong>g and a little light from <strong>the</strong> moon and<br />
<strong>the</strong> stars. It was serenely silent with <strong>the</strong> only sound<br />
<strong>the</strong> occasional snort from <strong>the</strong> horses <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir stalls.<br />
Pen shrugged <strong>of</strong>f her jacket and hung it up<br />
beside my red and black striped blazer.<br />
<strong>The</strong> white cot<strong>to</strong>n and silk material <strong>of</strong> her<br />
blouse clung <strong>to</strong> her upper <strong>to</strong>rso like a second sk<strong>in</strong>.<br />
She was wear<strong>in</strong>g a thick lea<strong>the</strong>r belt around her waist<br />
that accentuated her hour-glass figure. I thought she<br />
looked magnificent.
