With a reputation for his passionate live
performance and a new album produced
by Sandy Jones (Wet Wet Wet),
Rob Halligan is making his mark in the
music world.
While his sound carries hints of S
teve Knightley and Bruce Springsteen, his
songs tell stories of personal experience
and are delivered with a rough spirituality
and brutal honesty.
He has played numerous festivals and
venues over the past four years and is
known as one of the busiest unsigned
artists in the country.
“Captivating… deserving of a nationwide
audience. Check him out!”
Imagine the power of rock and funk
coupled with the accessibility of
traditional dance music. MoonDance
provides a truly unique and inclusive show
based on a mix of British ceilidh music
and dance that appeals to a wide range
of festival and other types of audience.
The music is a powerful fusion of the best
of traditional and modern dance rhythms
and our caller (Roger Watson) raps the
instructions over the groove in any of
the major European languages to give a
seamless dance based event.
“superb”
– Tony Scott (Guilfest, England)
“… a rocking band. You certainly filled
the bill and I was delighted with the
audience response”
– Steve Barnes (Fairbridge Festival,
Australia)
9Bach mix tales from Welsh folk’s dark
heritage with melodies that conjure
memories of long forgotten songs.
They create a sweet, magical sound of
vocal melodies, angelic harps and dreamy
rhythms that has taken their musical
journey far beyond their roots in the
mountains of North Wales and the spoonplaying
backstreets of North London.
August 2009 sees the release of 9Bach’s
album, and their mesmerising live show
has been seen at Celtic Connections
Festival, The Green Man Festival
and Latitude Festival, among others.
“This Welsh nu-folk act evoke the
unearthly atmosphere of ancient music,
while adopting an urgency that creates a
sound that puts them at the forefront of
pioneers mixing up folk”
