London born singer-songwriter<br />

Barry Allen has been performing his<br />

songs as a solo artist for many years.<br />

Performing at venues like the ‘12 Bar<br />

Club’ and the ‘Spitz’.<br />

Barry’s influences are folk and pop.<br />

Singing at an early age, Barry sang<br />

David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’,<br />

in the school choir.<br />

After leaving school, he joined other<br />

choirs where he was lead singer.<br />

He then started playing Open Mic nights.<br />

Including ‘Bunjies’ and the ‘Lock Tavern’.<br />

Barry’s song ‘Do what you do for Love’,<br />

was a chosen track on the ‘Live at the<br />

Acoustic Trip’ compilation CD. This was<br />

sold at Tower Records.<br />

In 2008, Barry recorded his first CD<br />

‘In the Shade’.<br />

wind, percussion and voices.<br />

Their rich and varied influences include<br />

Celtic, Appalachian, Klezmer, African,<br />

Cuban, Rock and Classical.<br />

Zoox have been gigging for over 3 years,<br />

at <strong>Folk</strong> Clubs, Arts Centres and Festivals,<br />

including Towersey, Broadstairs, Crawley<br />

and Chippenham.<br />

Their debut album, ‘88’, was released<br />

in 2006.<br />

Alyth is known for having a voice of great<br />

purity and beauty.<br />

She was born and raised on the Island of<br />

Lewis off the Northwest coast of Scotland<br />

and grew up immersed in the culture of<br />

these islands.<br />

A gifted performer from a young age she<br />

has appeared on 18 albums to date and<br />

is currently touring with The Chieftains<br />

as well as performing her own solo<br />

work. She has shared the stage with<br />

folk greats such as Martin Carthy and<br />

Norma Waterston, Eddi Reader, Moving<br />

Hearts, jazz singers Jacqui Dankworth,<br />

Sara Colman and Leanne Carol, Brazilian<br />

ensembles and Bulgarian voice choirs.<br />

Her new solo album ‘People like me’ is<br />

out now on Navigator Records.<br />

Bamjimba AKA Jim Bamber (Drummer<br />

and Percussionist) produced his first CD<br />

in 2003. ‘! Love’ – a Charity project in<br />

aid of the UK Sickle Cell Society – was a<br />

great success!<br />

Jim was given an Award for Individual<br />

Fundraising @ No 10 Downing Street.<br />

In 2006 he released ‘Routes’ (a personal<br />

journey through reggae) – the CD was<br />

voted ‘Best Reggae Album’ in 2006 by<br />

David Katz in Black Echoes magazine.<br />

A serial charity fundsraiser the latest<br />

Bamjimba music can be downloaded on<br />

iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster etc. All in aid<br />

of the rehabilitation of ‘Child Soldiers’ or<br />

UK Charity Plan UK.<br />
