Three-piece traditional band featuring
Lynn Tocker on accordion, Frank McGuire
on bodrhan, percussion and vocals, and
Mark Canning on guitar and bouzouki.
Lynn was the first winner of the BBC Young
Traditional Musician of the Year Award and
toured extensively throughout the world
aged 17, representing Great Britain at the
European Broadcasting Union convention
in Yugoslavia along with Kathryn Tickell and
former Folk on Two presenter Jim Lloyd.
This was broadcast live throughout Europe.
Her unique style of playing has earned
her a reputation as an unrivalled exponent
of the accordion and as one of the finest
players on the scene. Frank, who recently
performed on a series of BBC programmes
with such musicians as Karen Mathieson
and Julie Fowlis is a highly respected
bodrhan and percussion player and has
performed with such reputable artists
as the Alison Brown Quartet and Ritchie
Havens. The band has earned a reputation
for fantastic live performances.
