Fought thru the Punk Rock War of 77’,
wrote a hit called ‘No room for you’
for Demob, tired of punks dead end,
set out with a guitar, earn a living as a
singer-songwriter in the old fashioned
way, Guthrie, Dylan, Gaughan, Russell,
Springsteen, Waits.
Travelled all over the USA, playing and
writing songs for a few guys and bands.
Rolled around France and Spain on
a motorcycle with a guitar, bars and
barbeques, food and drink was the fee.
Back in the UK, wrote loads more songs,
put out ‘This is the story’ my 8th album
in 2008.

Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham are
no strangers to the Folk World, having
been independent and passionate solo
practitioners for many years.
Both are strong singers with a well honed
aptitude for harmony structure and
between them they play all three versions
of concertina English/Anglo/Duet.
Their repertoire is mostly English
traditional songs and tunes, but they also
have a healthy respect for well known
and newer writers and this is always
reflected in any performance. Add to that
the experience of the years and you end
up with a freshness of combination and
performance and a style of presentation
that is both exciting and authoritative.

Performing on 6 and 12 string guitars,
singer-songwriter Rick Christian has
played in folk clubs, at folk festivals,
pubs, and other venues, both in the UK
and overseas, including the world famous
Bunjies Folk Cellar in London.
He has recorded a number of albums
over the years, featuring songs about love,
relationships, and environmental issues.
Appearances on local and national radio
have helped him reach an even wider
audience.
As well as this he has presented folk
music programmes for various radio
stations, been a researcher for the
Guinness Who’s Who Of Folk Music,
and other music publications.
For many years, he also ran a successful
folk club, and folk festival, in his home
town of Maldon in Essex.

The Ffynnon duo Lynne Denman and
Stacey Blythe have performed traditional
and new Welsh, English and French
songs for audiences on five continents.
In America they were invited to record
their second album Ffynnon by foremost
roots and world music label Green Linnet
Records.
Songs from their third album ‘Adar
Gwylltion’ (Wild Birds) along with
especially composed music accompany
Hunting the Giant’s Daughter the show
they are currently touring with storyteller
Michael Harvey.
The five piece Ffynnon headlined this
year’s Gower Folk Festival to rapturous
applause.
