The burst of pulses waveform is a composite of two waveforms. A lower<br />
frequency waveform (the cycle frequency), used to turn on and off a higher<br />
frequency waveform (the burst frequency). The following procedure will<br />
guide through setting up a gated burst waveform on the <strong>LR</strong>-<strong>24</strong>.<br />

1. Press the Pulse Type key.<br />

2. Press the down arrow key until Burst of Pulses appears on the<br />
display. Then press the Enter key.<br />
3. Press the Freq. key and use the arrow keys to set the desired<br />
cycle frequency. Then press the Enter key.<br />

4. Press the Duty Cycle key and use the arrow keys to set the<br />
desired number of pulses in the burst. Press the Enter key (see<br />
Figure 6.19). Use the arrow keys to set the pulse frequency.<br />
Press the Enter key (see Figure 6.20). Use the arrow keys to set<br />
the duty cycle of the pulse waveform, then press the Enter key<br />
(see Figure 6.21). Press the Volts key and use the arrow keys to<br />
set the output voltage, then press the Enter key. All three steps<br />
must be completed for any changes to be effected.<br />
5. Press the Power Limit key and use the arrow keys to set the<br />
power limit. Then press the Enter key.<br />
6. Begin electrofishing.<br />
