Technical Officials Handbook- ArcheryHealth ServicesHealth Services at Competition VenuesAccreditated Technical official will be treated in case of acute emergencies only at the Athlete careStation where health service ranging from sports medicine to the initial care of life-threateningcondition will be provided to all persons with Back of house and/or field of Play access. The HealthServices team will be comprised of a physician and nurse, who will be supported by onsiteambulance services providing transport of an ill or injured person to the designated hospital.Technical Officials may utilize health care facilities at the Competition Venues and during officialcompetition and training periods. For urgent cases, Technical Officials are advised to notify theDuty Manager at the TOAS who will ensure transport to the appropriate Commonwealth Gamesdesignated Hospital.Emergency Medical Services, Transportation, and Commonwealth Games HospitalNetworkAnyone requiring urgent hospitalisation will be transferred to the most clinically appropriatedesignated CWG Hospital. The Health Services team will manage all hospital transfers wherenecessary and will monitor the progress of all persons transferred to hospital in this fashion. HealthServices may not be able to guarantee this monitoring process to those who choose to transportthemselves to a designated CWG hospital or any other hospital (Without assistance from HealthServices from Health Services)Technical Officials Hotel Medical FacilitiesA General Practice clinic staffed by a Doctor and a Nurse will be on site in the Hotels to providecare to all Technical Officials. This clinic will operate from 23rd September to 16th October 2010in the morning and evening with onsite ambulance service in case of transfers to designatedHospital The service is provided at Hotel Ashok, Janpath and DDA flats Vasant kunj. At the DDAflats the services will be provided from 8: Pm to 8: Am.If treatment is required at the Hotel outside of this time, the Technical Official can call thePolyclinic or speak with concierge who will determine the best course of action.
