Technical Officials <strong>Handbook</strong>- Archeryaccording to the results of the qualification round of the 70m Round (Competition Day 1). Eachelimination round consists of a head-to-head match from which the winning team advances to thenext round.In team eliminations matches, the teams shoot 4x6 arrows in two minutes at 70m on a 122cmtarget face, simultaneously. The archers are free to choose the order of shooting.In case of a bye, teams will be allowed to shoot in their own target, but no score will be recorded orallowed to be displayed.Competition Day 4: Compound Team FinalsThe Compound team finals consist of semi finals and finals. The winning teams of Compound Menand Women in 1/4 Eliminations on Competition Day 3 will compete in the Compound team finalsmatches.In team finals matches, the teams shoot 4x6 arrows in two minutes, alternately. There are threearchers per team, who shoot one arrow each in rotation.The higher placed team in the qualification round will decide who shoots first in the first end ofeach match, and then the team with the lowest cumulative scores will shoot first in each followingend. If the scores tie, the team who shot first in the first end will shoot first.Competition Day 5: Recurve Team FinalsThe Recurve team finals are shot following the same format as the Compound team finals shot onthe previous dayCompetition Day 6: Compound Individual FinalsThe compound individual finals consist of quarterfinals, semi finals and finals. The remaining eightarchers of each Compound Men and Women will compete in the finals matches.In individual finals matches, archers shoot up to 5 sets of three arrows. They have 20 seconds toshoot one arrow, alternately.The higher placed archer in the ranking round will decide who shoots first in the first end of eachmatch, and then the archer with the lowest cumulative scores will shoot first in each following end.If the scores tie, the archer who shot first in the first end will shoot first.Competition Day 7: Recurve Individual FinalsThe Recurve individual finals are shot following the same format as the Compound individual finalsshot on the previous day.Commonwealth Games 2010 41
