Changing foreign currency or traveler’s cheque’s can be done at mostbanks. All major credit cards are widely accepted. Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) arevisibly displayed and take a range of cards including VISA, Master card and Maestro.Electricity The electrical current in India is 220 volts, electrical power (running on cycles of 50 hertz).Universal outlets for 240 v or 110 v appliances are usually found in leading hotels. TheIndian three pin power outlet is different from many countries so you may need anadapter socket.TaxesIndia has a VAT of 12.5%. Prices in India are shown as inclusive of all taxes.
