Technical Officials Handbook- ArcheryVenueYamuna Sports ComplexThe Qualification Round archery competition takes place at the Yamuna Sports Complex, which isapproximately 10 km from the Athletes Village. For archery, there is seating capacity for 1500spectators.Field-of-PlayThe Yamuna Sports Complex venue consists of one competition field with training and warm-upfacilities. The FOP is equipped with 34 targets for competition with a provision for an additional fivetargets.The India Gate venue consists of one competition field with training and warm-up facilities. TheFOP is equipped with 2 targets for competition.Technical Officials LoungeA Technical Officials Lounge is located on the ground floor of the stadium in the venue, close to theFOP. Soft drinks, tea, coffee, water are provided.Venue MealsIf Technical Officials have no time going back to their hotels for lunch during competition days, theywill be provided with Venue Meals. International Technical Officials will get Lunch Packs in theirlounge. National Technical Officials will be given coupons and they can avail their meals at theworkforce dining/break area.Changing RoomsThe changing room facilities are available in the office building.Field EquipmentThe field is equipped with:TargetsTwo (2) targets in the final court and four (4) targets in the warm-up field are supplied byISTONE in India, a FITA approved supplier.Thirty-four (34) targets for qualification round in the competition field and ten (10)targets for training and warm-up in the training range are supplied by ISTONE in India, aFITA approved supplier.Commonwealth Games 2010 43
Technical Officials Handbook- ArcheryTarget FacesFaces are supplied by JVD Distribution, Netherlands, a FITA licensed supplier.Results SystemSWISSTIMING provides timing and scoring equipment. PDAs (unofficial scoring terminals)are used for processing the scores of qualification rounds and elimination rounds.Warm-up FacilityThe archery range for warm-up adjoins the competition field at the Yamuna Sports Complex withfacilities including Athletes Lounge, Changing Rooms, Shower and Medical Services available. Thetargets are set at 70 meter. There is also a warm-up area with targets set at short range for warmupand arrow tuning. This practice facility is open from 23rd September through to the end ofcompetition. All training sessions are open to the media.A warm-up field is available for warm-up at India Gate from Day 4 to Day 7. Targets will be set up at70m and 10m.Mixed ZoneThe mixed zone is an area where accredited media will be allowed to conduct short interviewsimmediately after athletes have competed. Athletes and coaches must pass through the mixedzone after competition and they are requested to cooperate and to speak with press orbroadcasters.Medical FacilitiesMedical Station available at the ground floor during competition and training.Service will be provided by a medical team comprised of a doctor, nurse and associates who willprovide services to all athletes and back-of-house staff.On-site ambulances to support the services and provide transportation as required directly toHospital, depending on the situation and accreditation.Commonwealth Games 2010 44
