Technical Officials <strong>Handbook</strong>- Archerybefore scheduled arrival in India for coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs to issueinstructions to the concerned Immigration Authorities at Airport/Immigration Check-posts.The detailed Accreditation facility instructions regarding approved CGF Members for participationin the Games in the form of a NVP Circular has been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs,Government of India and has been widely circulated i.e. to CGA, Immigration Authorities<strong>world</strong>wide, Indian Missions <strong>world</strong>wide, all airlines, etc., in order to ensure acceptance/smoothprocess of NVP/TLF procedure as listed above. The notification issued by the Ministry of HomeAffairs, Government of India in this regard is also available at the Organising Committee’s website:http://www.cwgdelhi2010.org/dcwg/sites/default/files/MHA%20Notification.pdfVaccinationsTravellers (except infants < 6 months old) arriving by air or sea from the countries and areasregarded as high risk for yellow fever transmission or were under transit under suchcountries/areas are advised to get yellow fever vaccination 10 days prior to reaching India. As perthe Government of India, anyone (except infants ≤ 6 months old) arriving by air or sea without acertificate is detained in isolation for up to 6 days if that person: Arrives within 6 days of departure from an area with risk of yellow fever transmission.or Has been in such an area in transit (except those passengers and members of crew who,while in transit through an airport situated in an area with risk of yellow fever transmission,remained within the airport premises during the period of their entire stay and the HealthOfficer agreesto such an exemption).or Has come on a ship that started from or touched at any port in a yellow fever area with riskof yellow fever transmission up to 30 days before its arrival into India, unless such a shiphas been disinfected in accordance with the procedure laid down by World HealthOrganisation (WHO).or Has come by an aircraft which has been in an area with risk of yellow fever transmissionand has not been disinfected in accordance with the provisions laid down in the IndianAircraft Public Health Rules, 1954, or those recommended by WHO.The following countries and areas are regarded as at risk of yellow fever transmission:Africa: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, Chad, Congo, Coted’ Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia,Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe,Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia.Americas: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname,Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela.Note: When a case of yellow fever is reported from any country, that country is regarded by theGovernment of India as a country with risk of yellow fever and is added to the above list.Commonwealth Games 2010 5
