94 Estella Pulse Generators Technical Manual8.2.5 Atrial and Ventricular Rate HistogramThe Estella pacemakers are provided with separate atrial and ventricularhistograms. A bar chart displays the heart rate as a percentage andcorresponding absolute value. The number of times in which the heartrate occurs in specific ranges is recorded separately according tosensing and pacing. The rate range between 380 ppm is dividedinto 10 ppm increments along a rate measuring axis. The distribution ofdistribution of the heart rates can be displayed on the programmer as adiagram during follow-up examinations.NOTE:The bars of the histogram are standardized to a rate class width of10 ppm to avoid distortion of the rate distribution.8.3 Arrhythmia Statistics8.3.1 Atrial BurdenAtrial Burden is the time that the patient is in an atrial tachycardia duringthe day. The graphs are divided into the number of episodes which occurduring the day and the duration the atrial tachycardia is present duringa 240 day period.8.3.2 Time of occurrenceTime of occurrence is the time of day the atrial tachycardia begins. Thetotal number of events are displayed at the bottom of the graph. Eachevent is counted in the time bins and the percentage of events in eachtime bin (24h) is calculated and displayed.8.3.3 Mode SwitchingMode Switching shows the total number Modes switches that haveoccurred along with the total time of Mode switching since the lastfollow-up. The intervention rate is also displayed.8.3.4 Ventricular ArrhythmiaThis function enables long-term recording and analysis of prematureventricular contraction (PVC events). PVC events are defined asventricular events that have not been preceded by an atrial sensed orpacing event.
