7.5.3.2 AV Hysteresis<strong>Estella</strong> <strong>Pulse</strong> <strong>Generators</strong> Technical Manual 57AV Hysteresis allows a user-programmable change in AV delay that isdesigned to encourage normal conduction of intrinsic signals from theatrium into the ventricles. An AV hysteresis interval can be programmedto low, middle, or high setting as defined in Table 17 to promote intrinsicAV conduction. With AV hysteresis enabled, the AV delay is extendedby a defined time value after sensing a ventricular event. The long AVinterval is used as long as intrinsic ventricular activity is detected.
