Estella Pulse Generators Technical Manual 53. ContraindicationsUse of Estella pulse generators is contraindicated for the followingpatients:• Unipolar pacing is contraindicated for patients with an implantedcardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) because it may cause unwanteddelivery or inhibition of ICD therapy.• Single chamber atrial pacing is contraindicated for patients withimpaired AV nodal conduction.• Dual chamber and single chamber atrial pacing is contraindicatedfor patients with chronic refractory atrial tachyarrhythmias.For a complete discussion of mode-specific contraindications, pleaserefer to Appendix A of this manual.
