4.1.5.4 AS2 via the CLEO LexiCom AS2 Communication ClientIn case a direct AS2 connection is not possible for the supplier or the suppler does not use or haveDrummond AS2-certified EDI / Communication software, the supplier can establish a connection via AS2using the CLEO LexiCom Communication Client software. The CLEO LexiCom Client is an automatedcommunication solution for the secure transmission of data and EDI/CSV/XML messages over theInternet independent of the message formats submitted.A “Communication Client” (also referred to as “connector”) is a connection tool between a supplier andthe new aerospace platform to establish connectivity for EDI.SupplyOn proposes/recommends only the CLEO LexiCom Client (in the most current version) as a preconfiguredCommunication Client to have a simple connection to SupplyOn. The supplier is free to useany other communication client. The CLEO LexiCom Client is pre-configured for a fast and easyconnection to SupplyOn with the correct AS2 parameters and settings. The supplier purchases the CLEOCommunication Client directly from ECS International BV in the Netherlands – the main CLEO businesspartner in EMEA & Asia (license and support fees). Product support is provided directly by ECSInternational BV, by CLEO Inc, or an appointed CLEO reseller in your territory, but NOT by SupplyOn.Please refer to the attached CLEO LexiCom information.ECS International BV provides a LexiCom/SupplyOn installation & implementation service for a fixedprice – please also refer to the pricing and services information document by ECS.The CLEO LexiCom Client is AS2 Drummond certified.CLEO LexiCom e.g. builds an AS2 / HTTPS encrypted secure communication between exchangingparties. It can be installed in 30 minutes and is easy to configure and to administrate. The supplier candownload the CLEO LexiCom software and the pre-configured hosts for both the TEST andPRODUCTION environments, so the solution will present a pre-configured state for a SupplyOnconnection.
