UPS Worldwide Services Waybill
A manual recording option designed
for your routine international shipments.
The UPS Waybill serves as
a checklist for customs and other
government information required
in your declaration.
– Detailed information fields
to fully address your shipment
and to include required customs
information.
– Various billing options to specify
how payment of charges is handled.
– Shipment-level detail enables shipment
pricing and shipment tracking.
– With your authorization, the
U.S. Shipper’s Export Declaration
(S.E.D.) can be prepared by UPS
on your behalf.
Documenting an Export Shipment
UPS uses export/import documents
you prepare to properly declare
your shipment to customs in both
the country of export and the country
of import. The required documents
are submitted to customs to determine
the applicable duties and
taxes in the destination country.
This documentation may include:
– An invoice.
– A U.S. Shipper’s Export Declaration
(S.E.D.).
– A Certificate of Origin or a North
American Free Trade Agreement
(NAFTA) Certificate of Origin.
– Other documents based on value,
nature and destination of shipment.

When you use a UPS Worldwide
Services Waybill for multiple-package
international service, make it easy
to complete an invoice, S.E.D.,
Certificate of Origin or NAFTA
Certificate.
UPS WorldShip, UPS Internet
Shipping and UPS CampusShip
prompt you to complete required
export documentation as you
process an international shipment.
Additionally, WorldShip enables
you to automate your international
documentation preparation through
data import capabilities.
In order to file an S.E.D. electronically,
users can log in directly to
the U.S. Government Automated
Export System (AES) Web site at
aesdirect.gov to obtain the appropriate
information for completing
their UPS shipment. UPS recommends
electronic filing as the
preferred method for S.E.D. filing.
shipments to the same recipient,
only the lead package requires a
waybill. Each additional package
must have an address label and a UPS
Worldwide Services Tracking Label.
Detailed preparation instructions
are included on the reverse side
of the waybill.
WorldShip 5.0 or higher and some
UPS OnLine Compatible vendor
shipping systems connect to
AESDirect to allow customers
to file their S.E.D. electronically
with the Census Bureau and U.S.
Customs and Border Protection.
UPS will charge a fee of $10 per
shipment when asked to create
and file an S.E.D. on behalf of the
shipper. All required data must be
provided and Power of Attorney
granted.
