Understand Your Invoice
Payment Options
Based on its sole judgment, UPS
may provide alternative payment
terms to certain shippers. Where
alternative payment terms are
provided, the following provisions
for payment of transportation and
other charges will apply. For further
details, refer to the UPS Tariff
available at UPS.com ® .
UPS reserves the right to approve
the plan requested.
Debit EFT (Electronic
Funds Transfer Plan)
UPS electronically requests and
deducts payment from your checking
account for the amount of your
current UPS invoice directly from
your bank on a weekly or monthly*
basis. This service is free.** You
receive a weekly or monthly UPS
invoice for your review marked
“Paid by Bank.” Invoices on this
plan are not subject to late payment
fees.
Prepayment Plans
With the weekly or monthly prepayment
plans, your company provides
UPS with an initial prepayment equal
to four weeks of average billing to
cover four weeks of anticipated
charges. The prepayment amount
required may change depending on
your shipping activity. Late payment
fees apply.†
Weekly Prepayment Plan: You
receive a UPS invoice each week.
Payment for all accumulated charges
is due within seven days of receipt
of each fourth invoice. If you exceed
your prepayment amount prior
to receipt of your fourth invoice,
accumulated charges are due within
seven days of receipt of the most
recent invoice.
Monthly* Prepayment Plan: You
receive a UPS invoice each month.
Payment is due within seven days
of receipt of your invoice.
Credit Extension Plan*
To be eligible, you must use UPS
transportation services and the
Credit Extension Plan solely for
business, commercial or agricultural
purposes. By using this plan, you
can enjoy the convenience of
monthly invoice paying without
using EFT or needing a prepayment
on account. You are charged a fee
once a year. The amount of your
credit extension fee is based on your
total annual charges and is subject
to change annually. Payment on the
invoice you receive monthly is due
within seven days of receipt. Late
payment fees apply.†
Weekly Payment Plan
Receive an invoice weekly and
payment is due within seven days
of receipt. Late payment fees apply.†
UPS Prepaid
You can also purchase UPS Next
Day Air ® , UPS Next Day Air Saver ® ,
UPS 2nd Day Air A.M. ® and UPS
2nd Day Air ® services in advance
and use them anytime to ship UPS
Express Envelopes or packages up
to 5 lbs. With UPS Prepaid, you
purchase a quantity of Air Shipping
Documents (ASDs) for UPS Next
Day Air or UPS 2nd Day Air services.
Then, whenever the need arises,
simply attach the ASD, and the
shipment is on its way. The maximum
value for the contents of a
Prepaid Letter or package is $100.
