<strong>Service</strong> Restrictions<br />
Alcoholic Beverages<br />
Packages containing alcoholic<br />
beverages are accepted for transportation<br />
only on a contractual basis.<br />
To receive service for packages<br />
containing alcoholic beverages,<br />
the shipper must sign a contract<br />
<strong>and</strong> agree to the provisions set forth<br />
in the approved <strong>UPS</strong> Agreement for<br />
the Transportation of Wine Shipments.<br />
C.O.D.<br />
Collect On Delivery (C.O.D.) service<br />
is not available for international<br />
services except for imports from<br />
Canada. C.O.D. service is also not<br />
available when using a <strong>UPS</strong> 3 Day<br />
Select SM Same-Day Pickup shipping<br />
document or a <strong>UPS</strong> Ground Same-<br />
Day Pickup shipping document.<br />
C.O.D. service is available on<br />
<strong>UPS</strong>.com ® .<br />
Firearms<br />
Firearms will be accepted for transportation<br />
only according to the terms<br />
<strong>and</strong> conditions contained in the<br />
<strong>UPS</strong> Tariff.<br />
Hazardous Materials <strong>and</strong><br />
International Dangerous Goods<br />
Hazardous Materials, as defined<br />
<strong>and</strong> regulated under Title 49 of<br />
the Code of Federal Regulations<br />
(49 C.F.R.), <strong>and</strong> International<br />
Dangerous Goods, as defined under<br />
the International Civil Aviation<br />
Organisation (ICAO) <strong>and</strong> published<br />
in the International Air Transport<br />
Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods<br />
Regulations, are accepted for transportation<br />
only as a contractual<br />
service domestically within <strong>and</strong><br />
between all 50 states <strong>and</strong> Puerto<br />
Rico, <strong>and</strong> internationally within<br />
or between defined service areas.<br />
Hazardous materials are only<br />
accepted in the <strong>UPS</strong> system from<br />
those customers who have a daily<br />
pickup account <strong>and</strong> have signed<br />
an “Agreement for Transportation of<br />
Hazardous Materials” or have those<br />
provisions incorporated into their<br />
existing customized contract for<br />
shipping service with <strong>UPS</strong>.<br />
When preparing Hazardous Materials<br />
packages for <strong>UPS</strong> Ground service<br />
to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or<br />
Catalina Isl<strong>and</strong>, packages must be<br />
prepared in accordance with the<br />
applicable air regulations. Many<br />
products that are not regulated<br />
or do not require shipping papers<br />
via <strong>UPS</strong> Ground service are fully<br />
regulated when transported via air.<br />
Hazardous Materials are accepted<br />
for transportation via <strong>UPS</strong> Ground<br />
service to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto<br />
Rico <strong>and</strong> Catalina Isl<strong>and</strong> only in<br />
passenger aircraft quantities prepared<br />
according to the requirements set<br />
forth in Title 49 of the Code of<br />
Federal Regulations (49 C.F.R.) <strong>and</strong><br />
the <strong>UPS</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> for Shipping Ground<br />
<strong>and</strong> Air Hazardous Materials at<br />
<strong>UPS</strong>.com.<br />

When preparing Hazardous Materials<br />
packages for <strong>UPS</strong> 3 Day Select<br />
service, packages must be prepared<br />
in accordance with the applicable<br />
air regulations. Many products that<br />
are not regulated or do not require<br />
shipping papers via <strong>UPS</strong> Ground<br />
service are fully regulated when<br />
transported via air. Hazardous<br />
Materials are accepted for transportation<br />
in <strong>UPS</strong> 3 Day Select<br />
service only in passenger aircraft<br />
quantities prepared according to the<br />
requirements set forth in Title 49<br />
of the Code of Federal Regulations<br />
(49 C.F.R.) <strong>and</strong> the <strong>UPS</strong> <strong>Guide</strong> for<br />
Shipping Ground <strong>and</strong> Air Hazardous<br />
Materials at <strong>UPS</strong>.com.<br />

Hundredweight <strong>Service</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>UPS</strong><br />
Ground Hundredweight <strong>Service</strong> to<br />
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or<br />
Catalina Isl<strong>and</strong>, Hazardous Materials/<br />
Dangerous Goods, combustible<br />
liquids <strong>and</strong> all “Other Regulated<br />
Materials” (ORM-D) are prohibited.<br />
