GUARANTEED ON-SCHEDULE DELIVERY*
An ideal alternative to traditional LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) service for shipments weighing
less than 1,000 pounds, UPS Hundredweight Service is designed for shipments UPS classifies
as Less-Than-PalletLoad SM . With Hundredweight Service, there’s no need for pallets, no extra
charge for guaranteed on-schedule delivery, and no worries, as each package has its own
address label and unique tracking number.

1. Choose the UPS service option
(Next Day Air, Ground, etc.). Refer
to your UPS Zone Chart to determine
the appropriate zone.
2. Determine the shipment’s billable
weight by totaling the billable
weights of the individual packages
in the shipment. Refer to the
“Determine Weight and Size”
section on pages 20 to 22.
3. For UPS Next Day Air ® , UPS
Next Day Air Saver ® , UPS 2nd Day
Air A.M. ® and UPS 2nd Day Air ® ,
multiply the shipment’s billable
weight by the Rate Per Pound
shown on the rate chart for the
appropriate service, shipmentbilled-weight
level and zone
to calculate the shipping charge.
For UPS 3 Day Select SM and UPS
Ground, divide the shipment’s
billable weight by 100 to determine
the number of Hundredweight
units. Multiply the number of
Hundredweight units by the
Shipment Rate Per Hundredweight
Unit shown on the rate chart for
the appropriate service, shipmentbilled-weight
level and zone to
calculate the shipping charge.
UPS Hundredweight
ServiceQualifications
– Packages addressed to a single
consignee at one location within
the 50 states on the same day.
– Total shipment billable weight of
100 pounds or more for each UPS
Next Day Air, UPS Next Day Air
Saver, UPS 2nd Day Air A.M.
or UPS 2nd Day Air shipment.
– Total shipment actual weight
of 200 pounds or more for each
UPS 3 Day Select or UPS Ground
shipment.
Some shipments less than 500
pounds may be more economically
rated as 500 pounds. The UPS billing
system will automatically compute
the shipment charges at both the
shipment-billed weight and at
500 pounds, compare them and
bill the lower of the two.

UPS Hundredweight
Service Notes
– Available only to customers
receiving a daily UPS pickup.
– $12.50 Saturday pickup fee for
UPS Next Day Air, UPS Next Day
Air Saver, UPS 2nd Day Air A.M.
and UPS 2nd Day Air.
– Saturday pickup is not available
for UPS 3 Day Select or UPS
Ground.
– No Saturday delivery fee for
UPS Hundredweight Next Day
Air shipments.
– UPS Next Day Air ® Early A.M. ®
is not available.
– Delivery Area Surcharge does
not apply.
– Residential Surcharge does

The minimum charge for a UPS
Next Day Air, UPS Next Day Air
Saver, UPS 2nd Day Air A.M. or
UPS 2nd Day Air Hundredweight
shipment will be based on an
average weight of 10 pounds
per package.
The minimum charge per shipment
for UPS 3 Day Select or UPS Ground
Hundredweight Service is $66.50
for zones 2 through 8 and zones
302 through 308, $350 for zones 44
and 45 and $375 for zone 46; or it
will be based on an average weight
of 15 pounds per package,
whichever is greater.
