into the United States<br />

Continuous Entry Bond: A one-year<br />

bond for all entries made in a single<br />

year with up to $50,000 coverage.<br />

Required only under special<br />

circumstances.<br />

Customs Entry Packet: Entry<br />

<strong>and</strong> payment documentation for<br />

shipments that have been through<br />

the U.S. Customs <strong>and</strong> Border<br />

Protection payment <strong>and</strong> review<br />

process.<br />

Disbursement Fee: Customers<br />

are responsible for payment of duty<br />

<strong>and</strong> taxes. A fee of two percent<br />

(minimum $5) of the amount paid<br />

or processed by <strong>UPS</strong> on behalf<br />

of the customer will be charged.<br />

Duty: A fee imposed by customs<br />

on imported merch<strong>and</strong>ise. Based<br />

on the value <strong>and</strong>/or gross weight,<br />

it may differ according to the<br />

commodity.<br />

Duty Drawback: The preparation<br />

of a refund request for part or all of<br />

customs duty or domestic tax paid<br />

on imported merch<strong>and</strong>ise that was<br />

subsequently manufactured into<br />

a different article or re-exported.<br />

Fish <strong>and</strong> Wildlife (F&W): The U.S.<br />

government charges a fee for any<br />

shipment requiring fish <strong>and</strong> wildlife<br />

clearance. The amount assessed by<br />

F&W depends upon the port of entry<br />

into the United States.
