Insure that screw adjustmentmechanism (L control) is set toproper setting.2. Press protective cap over end ofcartridge assembly as shown inillustration at left.3. Press firmly against end ofprotective cap until cap lipstretches over beginning ofcartridge hex, expelling air withinchamber.4. To remove protective cap, gentlypull away from cartridge hex untilcap comes loose.5. Replace protective cap with newone if any abrasions, nicks, or tearsare evident along cap lip includinginterior edge and sealing lip.Installation Instructions:1. Adjust valve to desired setting andtighten locknut.2. To install, press the cap onto thecartridge’s hex body until asnapping sound is heard. Do notforce the cap to bottom out againstthe top of the hex. A small gapshould remain. Pull back on the capto verify a successful installation.3. This tamper resistant cap isdesigned to be non-removable.Once removed, it can not bere-assembled to the cartridge.Operating instructions forMomentary Manual OverrideAssembly 991-225To manually actuate valvemomentarily, hand turn ManualOverride Assembly in clockwisedirection until it reaches its internalstop. Hold in position to maintainactuated operation. Once released,valve will return to its normal(de-energized) position. The top faceof override assembly depicts an arrowpointing in a clockwise direction withsmaller arrow pointing to returnposition indicating momentaryoperation.Operating instructions forLocking Manual OverrideAssembly 991-226To manually actuate valve and lock,hand turn Override Assembly incounter-clockwise direction until itreaches its internal detent and locksinto place.
