Template form for deliverable 8 “Overview of National Qualificationframeworks”Template for an overview of NQFsWork package 3:Referenceability of National Qualification FrameworksDescription of the Work packageAccording to the reasons they were set up and to the historical changes they might have undergone,National Qualification Frameworks differ considerably in terms of objectives and types of design. Inorder to create Europe-wide mutual trust it is therefore crucial to describe the way of referencingNational Qualification Frameworks to the EQF in a transparent way. If this is properly undertaken, thisimplies more than only delivering formally understandable descriptions of relationships. Descriptions ofreference should enable to exclude mislinkings of qualifications to EQF-descriptors, thus preventing thatlearning results of qualifications from different countries are considered identical where this is not thecase. This purpose can be more or less supported by the way how National Qualification Frameworksare structured and designed which, of course, predefines to a certain extent the way of referencing aNQF to the EQF.
