This, of course, is not aworn-out question, it has to be asked again and again. Why can’t one grasp it? And where is it, who lives it?Not us here. I believe that all that is left for us is selfforgetfulness, sleep. We have been waiting for it all thetime. We try to deaden ourselves again and again throughour intellect and consciousness. And it does not help.Earlier, I always imagined life meant joining handsand working together. But I can’t do that. Because theconsciousness that is instilled in us by school has killedeverything with its intellectualism. It has done moreharm than anyone can imagine. I only want to be able tobe radical once, radical to the point of unconsciousness.People are never given time for this, they always have tobe “mature” already. I only want for once not to be “I,”to be quite far from myself and everything physical, to beable to rest. I want no fellowship, I want nothing, I wantno obligations and no demands. I only want to rest andsoar, or be a flower on a bright summer day.36
