Setting ThresholdsSettingThresholdsThe Set Thresholds tool can help you locate problems or faults on thenetwork.When you set a threshold for an activity on a hub, you instruct the hubto take specific action when a counter value falls above or below the setthreshold.The action taken can be one or a combination of the following:❏❏❏Send a trapPartition the portActivate a pagerTo set the threshold value, first determine what the baseline or normaloperating range is for the activity you are monitoring.
