「 熊 貓 話 你 知 」 以 生 物 多 樣 性 及 氣 候 變 化 等 為 主 題 ,提 供 有 關 自 然 生 態 及 環 境 保 護 的 趣 味 資 訊 , 並 以 生 動有 趣 的 方 式 , 向 小 朋 友 介 紹 生 態 保 育 及 可 持 續 生 活 方式 等 概 念 , 如 低 碳 生 活 等 。本 會 教 育 經 理 梁 恩 銘 表 示 :「 我 們 富 經 驗 的 同 事 , 整理 好 有 關 環 保 及 科 學 的 資 訊 後 , 會 將 原 本 複 雜 的 概 念 ,轉 化 為 簡 潔 易 明 的 文 字 , 使 小 朋 友 更 容 易 理 解 。」可 有 想 過 自 己 動 手 做 一 個 水 底 觀 察 儀 ? 在 「 智 趣 樂園 」 中 ,「 自 己 動 手 做 」 環 節 讓 小 朋 友 按 照 短 片 的 示範 , 自 行 製 作 工 具 和 玩 具 來 探 索 大 自 然 。 除 了 互 動遊 戲 及 動 畫 外 , 網 站 還 提 供 小 朋 友 最 愛 的 「 儲 卡 」 玩意 —「 大 自 然 照 相 館 」 展 示 一 系 列 可 打 印 出 來 的 收 藏卡 , 讓 小 朋 友 認 識 每 種 野 生 動 物 的 生 活 、 棲 息 地 、 保育 狀 況 及 面 臨 的 威 脅 等 。 最 後 ,「 急 智 加 油 站 」 有 每月 一 問 , 測 試 小 朋 友 們 的 環 保 知 識 , 從 而 鼓 勵 他 們 更熱 心 學 習 。本 會 設 立 「WWF Kids」 網 站 的 其 中 一 個 主 要 目 的 ,是 鼓 勵 小 朋 友 自 主 學 習 , 但 網 站 的 對 象 不 止 是 小 學生 。 梁 恩 銘 續 說 :「 家 長 們 可 陪 同 小 朋 友 閱 讀 故 事 、玩 遊 戲 , 和 在 子 女 嘗 試 『 自 己 動 手 做 』 時 提 供 指 導 。事 實 上 , 所 有 活 動 大 都 是 以 親 子 為 重 。 教 師 亦 可 利 用網 站 資 訊 , 作 為 準 備 教 材 時 的 參 考 資 料 。 教 師 也 可 鼓勵 學 生 根 據 所 提 供 的 資 料 , 作 進 一 步 學 習 。 即 使 是『 自 己 動 手 做 』 環 節 , 教 師 也 可 以 用 網 站 上 的 資 訊 ,設 計 視 覺 藝 術 課 的 內 容 。」 在 家 長 及 老 師 的 指 導 下 ,幼 稚 園 學 童 也 可 利 用 網 站 學 習 , 獲 益 良 多 。網 站 每 部 分 結 尾 , 均 設 有 五 星 評 分 系 統 , 讓 小 朋 友 評分 , 表 達 他 們 的 喜 好 供 本 會 參 考 。 本 會 傳 訊 及 教 育 團隊 正 致 力 改 良 「WWF Kids」 網 站 的 功 能 , 希 望 持續 為 小 朋 友 提 供 最 新 的 環 保 知 識 及 本 會 的 最 新 消 息 。未 來 , 本 會 將 於 網 站 內 加 入 籌 款 項 目 、 理 解 練 習 及 其他 更 多 自 主 學 習 的 環 節 。 這 個 新 網 站 的 內 容 將 不 斷 更新 , 伴 隨 著 小 朋 友 成 長 。歡 迎 瀏 覽 WWF Kids 網 站 :wwf.org.hk/kids“After getting relevant environmental and scientific informationfrom various sources, our experienced staff then translated thecomplicated scientific information to language which kids canunderstand,” explains Yamme Leung, Education Manager,WWF-Hong Kong.Ever thought of hand-making a water scope? In the Fun section,a “Zoo-it-yourself” segment allows children to follow thedemonstrations in video clips to make DIY tools and toys for theirgreen adventures. Alongside interactive mini games and flashcomics, children can also enjoy a favourite pastime: collecting cards.The Wildlife section displays a series of printable collectable cardsthat allow kids to learn about each species’ life, habitat, conservationstatus and threats. Last but not least, Question of the Month poses amonthly question to test young visitors’ environmental knowledge,which in turn motivates their will to learn.While self-directed learning is one of the core objectives of theWWF Kids website, the platform is not made with only primaryschool students in mind. “We’re assuming parents accompany theirkids to read the stories, play the games and provide guidance forkids attempting the Zoo-it-yourself section,” says Leung. “Actually,all activities are quite parent-kids oriented. Teachers can make useof the information provided as a reference for preparing teachingmaterials in class. They can facilitate students to make furtherstudies based on information provided. Even for the Zoo-it-yourselfsection, teachers can refer to the available information on the webto plan their visual art classes.” With guidance from parents andteachers, kindergarten students can benefit from the website too.At the end of each section, there is a five-star rating system wherekids have their say about their preferences. WWF’s Communicationsand Education teams are continuing to improve the function ofthe WWF Kids website to keep young people up-to-date withenvironmental knowledge and WWF’s news. Fundraising items,comprehension exercises and other more diverse self-directedlearning columns may be included in the future.
