The proposed revisions also provide that Universitystudents and employees may be subject to discipline for the same misconduct underother University policies and procedures. The current Regulations follow thismemorandum, and the proposed revisions appear on page 4 of the Regulations.The proposed revisions are the result of a request by local officials that offenders behandled through the University rather than the Weakley County court system.The Tennessee Uniform Administrative Procedures Act requires that regulations likethis be promulgated under the formal rulemaking provisions of the Act. Afterapproval by the Board of Trustees, the proposed revisions will be submitted to theState Attorney General for approval as to legality and subsequently published in theSecretary of State’s monthly administrative register prior to becoming effective.MOTION:That the proposed revisions to the UT Martin Traffic and Parking Regulations beapproved.227
