Industrial-Grade CompactFlash CardTRS Star SpecificationFor more information visit us under:http://www.trs-star.com5.1.5.17 Word 51: PIO Data Transfer Cycle Timing ModeThe PIO transfer timing for Standard and Extended Temperature products fall into categories thathave different parametric timing specifications. To determine the proper device timing category, compare the Cycle Time specified in In Table 3.3.12.2-2, t0 is the minimum total cycle time, t2 is theminimum command active time, and t2i is the minimum command recovery time or command inactivetime. The actual cycle time equals the sum of the actual command active time and the actualcommand inactive time. The three timing requirements of t0, t2, and t2i shall be met. The minimumtotal cycle time requirements are greater than the sum of t2 and t2i. This means a host implementationmay lengthen either or both t2 or t2i to ensure that t0 is equal to or greater than the value reported inthe devices IDENTIFY DEVICE data. A device implementation shall support any legal hostimplementation. The IORD-data tri-state parameter specifies the time from the negation edge of /IORD to the time thatthe data bus is no longer driven by the device (tri-state).Table 3.3.12.2-1 with the contents of this field.NOTE:For backward compatibility with BIOSs written before Word 64 was defined for advancedmodes, a device reports in Word 51 the highest original PIO mode it can support (i.e., PIOmode 0, 1 or 2).5.1.5.18 Word 52: Single Word DMA Data Transfer Cycle Timing ModeThis field states this product doesn’t support Single Word DMA data transfer mode.5.1.5.19 Word 53: Translation Parameter ValidBit 0 of this field is set, indicating that words 54 to 58 are valid and reflect the current number ofcylinders, heads and sectors. Bit 1 is also set, indicating values in words 64 through 70 are valid.5.1.5.20 Word 54-56: Current Number of Cylinders, Heads, Sectors/TrackThese fields contain the current number of user addressable Cylinders, Heads, and Sectors/Track inthe current translation mode.5.1.5.21 Word 57-58: Current CapacityThis field contains the product of the current cylinders times heads times sectors.5.1.5.22 Word 59: Multiple Sector SettingThis field contains a validity flag in the odd byte, and the current number of sectors that can betransferred per interrupt for R/W Multiple in the even byte. The odd byte is always 01H, whichindicates that the even byte is always valid.TRS* Tele-Radio-Space GmbH, reserves the right Page 60 from 113 Industrial-Grade CompactFlash Cardto change products or specifications without notice.
