Industrial-Grade CompactFlash CardTRS Star SpecificationFor more information visit us under:http://www.trs-star.com5.1.19 Set Multiple Mode – C6hThe Set Multiple Mode command in Table 5.1.19 enables the card to perform Read and Write Multipleoperations and establishes the block count for these commands. The Sector Count Register is loadedwith the number of sectors per block. The current version of the card supports only a block size of 1sector per block. Future versions may support larger block sizes. Upon receipt of the command, theproduct sets BSY to 1 and checks the Sector Count Register.Table 5.1.19 Seat Multiple ModeCommand (7)Bit -> 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0C/D/H (6) X Drive XCyl High (5)Cyl Low (4)Sec Num (2)See Cnt (1)Feature (1)C6hXXXSector CountIf the Sector Count Register contains a valid value and the block count is supported, the value isloaded for all subsequent Read Multiple and Write Multiple commands and execution of thosecommands is enabled. If a block count is not supported, an Aborted Command error is posted, andRead Multiple and Write Multiple commands are disabled. If the Sector Count Register contains 0when the command is issued, Read and Write Multiple commands are disabled. At power on, or aftera hardware or (unless disabled by a Set Feature command) software reset, the default mode is Readand Write Multiple disabled.X5.1.20 Set Sleep Mode – 99h, E6hThe Set Sleep Mode command in Table 5.1.20 causes the card to set BSY, enter the Sleep mode, clear BSY and generate an interrupt. Recovery from sleep mode is accomplished by simply issuinganother command (a reset is permitted but not required). Sleep mode is also entered when internaltimers expire so the host does not need to issue this command except when it wishes to enter Sleepmode immediately. The default value for the read to sleep timer is 5 milliseconds. Note that this timebase (5 msec) is different from the ATA Specification.Table 5.1.20 Set Sleep ModeBit -> 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 0Command (7)E6h or 99hC/D/H (6) X Drive XCyl High (5)Cyl Low (4)Sec Num (2)See Cnt (1)Feature (1)XXXXXTRS* Tele-Radio-Space GmbH, reserves the right Page 71 from 113 Industrial-Grade CompactFlash Cardto change products or specifications without notice.
