IntroductionProcessHOW TO USE THEINGIA-VC PROCESSThe INGIA-VC process is designed to be used <strong>in</strong> thesequence presented <strong>in</strong> this Handbook. It can be usedalongside other research design methods to <strong>in</strong>form theidentification of beneficiaries, the design of activities, and thedevelopment of <strong>in</strong>dicators. Individual sections can also beused at different moments of the project cycle to take stockof project advances and troubleshoot recurr<strong>in</strong>g challenges.The INGIA-VC process starts with a <strong>gender</strong> analysis of thevalue cha<strong>in</strong>. It uses the Gender Dimensions Framework(GDF), presented previously as an organiz<strong>in</strong>g and analyticalframework dur<strong>in</strong>g the <strong>in</strong>itial phases of the process. Thelatter phases of the process, beg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g with Phase Three,l<strong>in</strong>k the f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs from the <strong>gender</strong> analysis to value cha<strong>in</strong>development.
