The report further revealsthat the yearly average employment perhousehold in the district of Ganjam (ChiefMinister’s district), which was declared the‘Best Practice District’ in MGNREGS, andwas declared the ‘Best Performing ModelDistrict’ by the central government, wasless than half a day. Similarly, in anothercase, the MoRD has sought a detailedreport from the Government of MadhyaPradesh on alleged financial irregularitiesworth several crores of rupees in worksdone under MGNREGS, and is consideringa CBI enquiry.
