<strong>2008</strong> <strong>Wisconsin</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> <strong>Journal</strong>This policy will be phased in over a 5 year period of time; the phase-in will be as follows:Retiree Premium Payment Phase-InYear Proportion From Pre 1-1-1999 Policy Proportion From Current Policy1999 80% 20%2000 60% 40%2001 40% 60%2002 20% 80%2003 0% 100%120.1.7 For clergy or lay employees of the <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Annual <strong>Conference</strong> retiring afterDecember 31, 2001, the conference will not provide any funding of healthinsurance premiums for retirees or their spouses until the retiree reaches 65 yearsof age.120.1.8 Retirees must have a minimum 5 consecutive years of qualified participationwith the <strong>Wisconsin</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> group health insurance plan immediately prior toretirement to be eligible for retiree coverage.130.0.0 Church Facilities Policy130.1.0 Minimum Standards Local churches in the <strong>Wisconsin</strong> <strong>Conference</strong> will meet thefollowing minimum standards:a. Indoor plumbing/restroom, running water with at least one flush toiletb. Electricity which meets building codec. A heating system with thermostatd. Handicap accessibility to building code130.2.0 Remedial FundingLocal churches which do not meet these standards may apply to the <strong>Conference</strong>Trustees for supplemental financial assistance to correct deficiencies. A churchrequesting assistance must participate in the cost through a minimum 1/3 matchingfunds, or equivalent labor and materials. Churches requesting assistance withimprovements will be required to submit the results of a structural inspectionby a <strong>Wisconsin</strong> certified inspector to verify the soundness of the building, alongwith a copy of their treasurer’s report and audit. Priority will be given to requestsin descending order of the minimum standards listed. Requests for financialassistance are to be submitted to the <strong>Conference</strong> Trustees by April 1, with grantsfor approved projects released by May 1, each <strong>Conference</strong> year.140.0.0 General and Jurisdictional <strong>Conference</strong> Delegations140.1.0 Nominations and Elections:Lay and clergy <strong>United</strong> Methodists of <strong>Wisconsin</strong> who are interested in election asGeneral and Jurisdictional <strong>Conference</strong> Delegates may submit brief biographicalsketches of themselves which will be distributed by the <strong>Conference</strong> Secretaryin the pre-<strong>Conference</strong> materials. The <strong>Conference</strong> Secretary shall present theballoting procedures during the opening plenary of an election year session foradoption by the Annual <strong>Conference</strong>.342 Rules and Policies of the <strong>Wisconsin</strong> <strong>Conference</strong>
