He moved to accept the printed report as distributed in the registrationpackets, with corrections that will be forwarded to the conference office. The motion wasapproved.Oren moved “to allow the Nominations Committee to continue to fill vacancies betweennow and our next Annual Conference.” The motion was approved.Ellen Rasmussen presented the following resolution:Be it resolved that all congregations be encouraged to have a special offeringdesignated for North Central College and Wiley College. This special offeringis to be held prior to December 1, 2008, and be disbursed to the colleges byDecember 31, 2008. Notification of this special offering is to be given to bothcolleges following this conference in order to assure the colleges that while wehave not designated funds for them this year, we still value our relationship withthem and wish to maintain our connection.Lisa King offered a friendly amendment, inserting the phrase “or the Conference FinanceOffice” before the words “by December 31, 2008.”The resolution was approved.Richard Strait requested a moment of personal privilege, and called attention to the“RUCalled” camp which will be held at Lake Lucerne this summer.”70 Daily Proceedings
