CommissioningGEA CAIRfricostar8.4 Direct-driven fan unitsELECTRICAL HAZARD AND DANGER FROM ROTATING UNIT PARTS!In this connection make sure to observe the safety information on page 44.DANGER OF ELECTRIC CURRENTWITH DRIVES WITH FREQUENCY CONVERTER!Due to life danger do not touch any live electric parts – even after the unit has beenisolated from the mains!Make sure that you observe all instructions provided in the operating manual by themanufacturer!• Remove tools, parts and foreign matter which could have been left in the impellerand air suction area.• Check if the motor protection has been properly adjusted (see the enclosed projectrelateddocumentation and/or „Motor protection“ on page 39).• With Y/Δ starting, set up the motor protection device for 58% of the rated current ifthe phase current flows through it – i.e. motor protection device must be installedbetween motor terminals U1, V1, W1, and not upstream of the switchgear in the netsupply line.8.5 Filter unitsELECTRICAL HAZARD AND DANGER FROM ROTATING UNIT PARTS!OBSERVE PERSONAL PROTECTION MEASURES.In this connection make sure to observe the safety information auf page 44.The following commissioning steps must be carried out:• Check the filter unit and installed filters for damage.• Check that the filter unit is correctly seated in the filter retaining frame.• Clean the filter unit and system parts in the airflow direction upstream of the filter toremove installation dust, if required.• The air handling unit and air ducts must be cleaned again before installing filters ofF9 class and higher.• Put the fan into operation then mark and record the initial pressure difference shownon the display unit (if installed).8.6 Heater unit8.6.1 Heater unit (L.P.H.W.)ELECTRICAL HAZARD AND DANGER FROM ROTATING UNIT PARTS ANDSHARP EDGES!
