HELP <strong>Command</strong>Example 6Operation: Obtain information about the third positional operand of the RENUMsubcommand of EDIT.help renum positional(3)LINKcommandLINK command syntaxUse the LINK command to invoke the binder or linkage editor service programs.The binder and linkage editor convert one or more object modules (the outputmodules from compilers) into a load module or program object suitable forexecution. In doing this, the binder and linkage editor change all symbolicaddresses in the object modules into relative addresses.The binder and linkage editor provide a great deal of information to help you testand debug a program. This information includes a cross-reference table and a mapof the module that identifies the location of control sections, entry points, andaddresses. You can have this information listed at your terminal or saved in a dataset.You can change binder defaults. The changes replace the defaults for the LINKcommand.
