OUTDES <strong>Command</strong>each page that are to be grouped together. You can specify up to 8 groupvalues. For example, a group value of 3 causes the first page of a data set tobe printed three times before printing is started for the second page, whichmight also be printed three times, and so forth.DATACK({BLKCHAR | BLKP<strong>OS</strong> | BLOCK | UNBLOCK})specifies whether “print positioning” and “invalid character” data check errorsare to be blocked or unblocked for printers accessing through the functionalsubsystem Print Services Facility (PSF).BLKCHARspecifies character errors that are not valid are to be blocked. The errorsare not reported to PSF. Print positioning errors are reported normally.BLKP<strong>OS</strong>specifies print positioning errors are to be blocked, and not reported to PSF.BLOCKspecifies neither print positioning errors nor character errors that are notvalid are reported to PSF.UNBLOCKspecifies both print positioning errors and character errors that are not validare reported to PSF.If you do not specify DATACK, the DATACK specification from the PSFPRINTDEV statement is used. If it is not specified in the PRINTDEV statement,the default is BLOCK.DEFAULT | NODEFAULTDEFAULTspecifies that the output descriptor defined by this OUTDES command isthe default output descriptor. SYSOUT data sets that do not explicitly referto an output descriptor use the output characteristics specified in thisOUTDES command.NODEFAULTspecifies that an ALLOCATE or PRINTDS command must explicitlyreference the output descriptor to use the defined output characteristicsspecified in this OUTDES command.Note: When a default output descriptor is defined with a CLASS value, <strong>TSO</strong>/Ecommands such as ALLOCATE, PRINTDS, and SMCOPY may use theirown default output class instead.DEPT(department_identification)specifies the department identification associated with the SYSOUT. Thisdepartment identification prints on the separator pages. You can specify from 1to 60 EBCDIC characters. Refer to “Coding rules” on page 209 for the validcharacters allowed with and without quotation marks.DEST(destination | destination.user_id)specifies the destination of a remote workstation, a user at a specific remoteworkstation, or an ip-network-address to which the output is routed forprocessing.
