Section 2.05-9Survey and MarkingsAll land subdivisions within the jurisdiction of this Ordinance shall besurveyed, platted, and marked in accord with the Minimum Standards Manual forthe Practice of Land Surveying in South Carolina, as promulgated by the Code ofLaws of South Carolina, 1976, Title 40, Chapter 21. This Manual is herebyadopted by reference and is as much a part of this Ordinance as if containedherein.Section 2.05-10 Fire HydrantsFire hydrants shall be installed and spaced throughout each subdivision toensure that all residences are within 1,000 ft. of hydrants, where public water andadequate fire flows are available. (Amended 06/18/2001)Section 2.06 Conservation SubdivisionsSection 2.06-1PurposeThe purpose of this Section is to promote development and subdivisionpractices which preserve and protect natural resources, sensitive areas and openspace, encourage the retention of agricultural pursuits, and balance theenvironment, providing for both rural and urban lifestyles.Section 2.06-2LocationConservation subdivisions are allowed county wide as an alternative toconventional subdivisions, but are especially encouraged in the areas designatedRural and Rural Residential on the County's Land Use Plan Map, contained inthe Comprehensive Plan. (Amended 07/19/2004)Section 2.06-3IncentiveAs an incentive to develop conservation subdivisions in the designated Ruraland Rural Residential areas (only), the subdivision requirements of Section 2.05, andthe dimensional requirements of Table 3 are hereby waived in exchange for thedevelopment standards of Section 2.06-4 through 2.06-6.As an incentive to develop conservation subdivisions within any designatedland use other than Rural and Rural Residential, the subdivision requirements ofSection 2.05, and the dimensional requirements of Table 3 are hereby waived inexchange for the development standards of Section 2.06-4 through 2.06-6, exceptthat any streets contained in the conservation subdivision must be built to Countyroad standards in Section 2.05-2.
