Lia’s work primarilyfocuses on youth engagement as a health promotion strategy, community-based HIV responses,critical health literacy and the social determinants of health. Marlene has worked with Indigenouscommunities and organizations in Latin America while living in Ecuador and Argentina.She has worked in international non-formal education exchanges for youth and hasan interest in improving public health understanding within Aboriginal communities.Nancy Cooper is from the Chippewas of Mnjikaning First Nation in southern Ontario. Nancyhas almost twenty years experience working in the literacy field with Indigenous communitiesin Canada. She is currently a stay-at-home parent of twin toddlers.107
