The pluggable application client provides a lightweight Java client environmentwithout the J2EE APIs. The pluggable application client requires access to theCosNaming or JNDI interfaces for EJB or CORBA object resolution. As with theapplet application client, tools are not provided to aid development andinstallation. A non-<strong>IBM</strong> JRE must be installed and the pluggable application clientmust be distributed to the client machine.The thin application client also provides a lightweight Java client environment inmuch the same way that the pluggable application client does. No tools areprovided for the development and installation of the thin application client.
