Figure B-13 iPlanet Certificate Request Wizard panel 49. On the Request Submission panel, you can select to either copy thecertificate request to the clipboard, or save the request to a file. Depending onyour CA, you will chose one or the other option. The CA we are using requiresus to paste the certificate request into a browser window, so we chose Copyto Clipboard. After storing your certificate request in the format you requirefor your CA, click Done. This will close the Certificate Request Wizard.10.After saving your certificate request, you now need to send the request toyour CA. As we stated earlier, the CA we are using uses a browser interfaceto paste the request into. Some CA’s will require you to e-mail the request. Ineither case, at some point the CA will generate a public certificate for ourrequest, and will have some process for obtaining the certificate from them. Inour case, we downloaded the certificate from our CA once it was approved. Some CA’s will send an e-mail. In either case, once we receive our certificateback from the CA, we next need to install it. To do this, we must return to theManage Certificates panel for our iPlanet Directory Server. Once there, clickthe Install... button. The first panel of the Certificate Install Wizard will thendisplay, as shown below.478 IBM WebSphere V5.0 Security Handbook
