Appropriate management anddisposal of any noxious weeds, will be undertaken in consultation with Wollongong CityCouncil.• The work site will be inspected for any trapped or injured fauna at the start of each day.• Trenches/excavations will be covered at the end of each day and inspected before theyare backfilled to ensure that no fauna species are harmed.Noise and VibrationPlease refer to Table 2 Possible Construction Noise Control Measures.Heritage• If a non-Aboriginal historical relic is discovered, all work likely to affect it will cease andthe Project Manager will be contacted. RailCorp heritage staff and the Heritage Branch(formerly Heritage Office), Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) will be notified asrequired. An investigation will be undertaken by a suitably qualified archaeologist toidentify suitable measures to reduce the impact on the relic discovered before workresumes.• Should Aboriginal heritage items be uncovered, all work in the vicinity will cease and theProject Manager and RailCorp heritage staff will be notified immediately. The Manager ofthe Planning and Aboriginal Heritage Section, Metropolitan Branch, EnvironmentProtection and Regulation Division, OEH will be notified in accordance with Section 89Aof the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
