Developing AR System Applications: AdvancedYou can use the Call Guide active link action to execute a guide from anyclient-side workflow, even from inside another guide. If a guide callsanother guide on the same form, the result is a stack of guides. Control isnot returned to the calling guide until the called guide exits or the nestedguide executes a wait action. For more information about the Call Guideaction, refer to The Call Guide Active Link or Filter Action on page 17.! Go To Guide Label active link action—Breaks a guide’s normal sequence. When the Go To Guide Label active link is executed inside a guide, theaction that follows the label will be executed next. You can use this actionto create data validation in a guide to make sure that users entered thecorrect information on a form. For example, if a user enters a name that isnot recognized in the underlying form, the guide opens a registrationdialog box for the user. If the user clicks Yes in the dialog box, anotherguide opens for the user to enter registration information. When the usercompletes all the necessary information, the guide closes and enters theinformation back into the first guide. The following figure shows an example of an interactive guide using theGo To Guide Label.Figure 1-7: Guide Using Go To Guide Label Active Link ActionFor more information about the Go To Guide Label action, refer to TheGo To Guide Label Active Link or Filter Action on page 20.Active Link Guides ! 31
