<strong>Developing</strong> <strong>AR</strong> <strong>System</strong> <strong>Applications</strong>: AdvancedFormatXFRDATACommandSpecifies the column separator character. The options areTab, CSV, Record, or Current Format. For example:Format = TabThis takes precedence over any column-separator characterthat you have specified in the Report Preferences, PageSetup, or Report Options dialog box.Tab format displays the report with column values separatedby tabs. Depending on the application displaying the report,data may not align correctly.CSV format forces the application to display the report inrows, with column values separated bycommas.Record format displays the report in record format. All thepage setup information is reset. You can also specify anoptional parameter CharsPerLine. If CharsPerLine is notspecified, the default is 80.Current Format uses the format and page setup defined inthe application.Specifies how the other application needs to receive thereport. Enter either Clipboard or File, for example:XFRDATA = ClipboardFor more information, see the application’s DDEdocumentation.Specifies commands that an application requires. You canenter as many commands as needed by using the fieldsCommand1 through Command, but they must besequential, for example:Command1 = [NEW(1)] [PASTE( )] [SAVE.AS(,0)]Because reports are always written to a temporary file, youcan specify the path of this temporary file on the commandline. To do this, use the %f and %N parameters. If you specify%f, <strong>AR</strong> <strong>System</strong> replaces the parameter with the path of the filecontaining the report.
