30 Assembling and Maintaining Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainers: EFX 883 / 833 / 823To attach the water bottle holder:1. Position the water bottle holder as shown and attach it tothe right stationary handlebar.Figure 19: Water bottle attachment2. Secure the holder using three Phillips-head screws.To attach the upright support covers:1. Place one inner and one outer upright support coveraround one of the upright supports, aligning them so thatthe arrows on their inside surfaces point toward the frontof the equipment.2. Line up the protrusions on the outer cover with the screwholes on the inner cover.3. Apply pressure to both covers so that the protrusions fitfirmly into the screw holes.4. Secure the upright support covers using two self-tappingscrews.Figure 20: Upright support cover attachment (right-handcover shown)
Assembling the EFX 315. Slide the covers down and snap them into the basemount.Note: Be sure to align the covers so that the lip of eachcover fits inside the edge of the base mount and the hookon the base mount fits into the corresponding slot on thecover. When you have snapped the covers into place, thesurfaces of the covers and the base mount should line upsmoothly.6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 to attach the other pair ofupright support covers.Leveling the EFXMake sure the unit is level before allowing anyone to use it.CAUTION: To eliminate movement, make sure the adjustable feetare in contact with the floor.To level the unit:1. Gently rock the unit. If there is any movement, ask yourassistant to tip the unit to one side while you locate theadjustable feet.2.
