Chapter 5: FILESTREAM with ASP.NET and SilverlightClick OK to return to the parent window, and click OK again to save the changes andreturn to the IIS Manager. After completing this step, our application is now configuredto run under the identity of NetworkService. The next step is to make sure that the Network Service account has permissions to accessour database. If it does not have access to the SQL Server instance, we need to create anew login with the required permissions. We can do this using SSMS, by right-clicking onLogins in the SQL Server instance tree and selecting New Login (Figure 5-19).Figure 5-17:Creating a new login for the Network Service account. The New Login dialog box is displayed. In Login name, select the fully qualified nameof the Network Service account. The easiest way could be to use the Search button andselect the account from the search results (Figure 5-18). This assumes that the SQL Serveris running on the same machine as the IIS app pool. If not, the web server's machineaccount needs to be given permissions.186
