Chapter 6: FILESTREAM with SSIS and SSRSSummaryThe chapter presented three labs to help you to get started with creating SSRS and SSISapplications that deal with FILESTREAM data.FILESTREAM columns can be accessed using the streaming APIs from SSIS using a Scripttask, which means that you can write.NET code that uses the Managed APIs to read andwrite FILESTREAM data. The first two labs demonstrated how to import and exportFILESTREAM data using SSIS.Though FILESTREAM columns can be accessed from SSRS, it does not provide a wayto use the Win32 or Managed APIs; all access to the FILESTREAM data is done throughT-SQL.
