Allen County’s last request was for a 13-passenger, raised roof minibuswith a wheelchair lift and door. Discussion followed.Alan Weber, Allen County Counselor, discussed a claim submitted to Allen County concerningan abused Woodson County individual. Discussion followed.Alan discussed Westra Construction Inc. position with Allen County.Alan discussed a meeting with Rural Fire District #2. Discussion followed on issues concerningold ambulances and water towers.Commissioners discussed the jail commissary account with Alan.Commissioners expressed their concerns related to keys for the new jail and administrativeoffices. Discussion followed.Jill discussed the re-certification checks that are issued each year to the ambulance personnel forcertifications.Mary Tucker, JJA Administrative Assistant, and Phil Young, DOC & JJA Administrator,discussed a JABG grant request. Mary explained the use of the unexpended funds for 2004.This is a three-month awards period. Discussion followed on transportation funding and whenthat funding is depleted they are looking at cutting line items and possibly cutting staff.Commissioner Works moved to approve the Chairman sign the JJA grant for unexpended fundsto be used for transportation.
