Commissioners stated charges could be filed after an investigation.Teresa Cook, Munchkin-land Pre-School, requested to hold pre-school graduation on thebandstand on the evening of May 27, 2004 from 6:30 to 8:00. Melissa had presented informationat an earlier meeting, which she reviewed with the commission. She explained all together thecompany has 60 years experience. Melissa stated they would like to be put on their bid list.Commissioners asked why their company would be better than an actual engineer group.Melissa stated because they would give an unbiased inspection. She stated they estimate at thehighest possible cost, with hopes of coming in under the estimate. Discussion followed.Jewell Springston, Iola Senior Center President, and Ivan Powell, Vice-President, discussed theother groups within the center not recognizing the elected board. The board requested a letterfrom the commissioners stating the other committees should be going through the elected boardto make decisions. Discussion followed.
