IS A REGION WITH A MIX OF CULTURE AND NATURE REFLECTED
IN ARCHEOLOGICAL SITES, INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AND
BEAUTIFUL BEACHES.
Las hay de suave oleaje para nadar y relajarse, y también hay playas
en mar abierto con fuerte oleaje durante todo el año ideal para
los amantes del surf. Desde junio hasta marzo se encuentran tres
especies de tortuga: Laud, Golfina y Negra que desovan en esta zona.
Los 250 kilómetros costeros del estado son un horizonte de bahías,
acantilados y vegetación donde es posible admirar cocoteros, huertas
de mango, papaya y plataneras; así como innumerables aves.
There are beaches of gentle waves to swim and relax, and there are
also open sea beaches with yearlong strong waves ideal for surf
lovers. From June to March three species of turtles can be found:
Leatherback, Olive Ridley and Black that spawn in this area. The
250 coastal kilometers of the state are a horizon of bays, cliffs and
vegetation where it is possible to admire coconut trees, orchards
of mango, papaya and banana; as well as countless birds.
La ciudad más importante de la costa es Lázaro
Cárdenas y entre sus atractivos se pueden
mencionar: el Palacio Municipal, la Catedral
de Cristo Rey, el Muelle de Pescadores, el
Malecón del Río Balsas y la Presa la Villita.
The largest city of the coast is Lázaro Cárdenas
and among its attractions can be mentioned:
the municipal Palace, the Cathedral of Cristo
Rey, the Fishermen’s dock, the Malecon of
the Balsas river and the Villita dam.
Recientemente algunas comunidades nahuas
de la costa michoacana se han unido
para edificar los paradores eco-turísticos
en ocho de las playas más hermosas del estado
que son: La Ticla, Faro de Bucerías, La
Llorona, Palma Sola, La Manzanilla, Ixtapilla,
Colola y Maruata.

coast of Michoacán have joined together
to build the eco-tourism stops in eight of
the most beautiful beaches in the state,
