Lunar New Year with
NC State’s Chinese
Undergraduate Student
Association (CUSA) / Asian
Students Association (ASA)
On February 19th, at the invitation
of the Chinese Undergraduate Student
Association (CUSA) and Asian Students
Association (ASA), Yang Yang and Li Mo,
Confucius Institute professors went to
Witherspoon Theatre to host a booth to
celebrate the Chinese New Year together
with about 150 students.
At the 12 booths highlighting different
programs or projects, which were arranged
according to the 12 Chinese Zodiac signs,
the Confucius Institute booths attracted the
attention of the participants throughout the
event. The visitors beamed with happiness
when they received their Chinese lanterns
with Chinese blessings or wishes written
by the CI teachers, and enjoyed the sense
of achievement when they wrote down
the Chinese characters with brushes by
themselves.

及 北 卡 州 大 亚 洲 姐 妹 会 之 邀 , 北 卡 州 大 孔 院 老 师
前 往 州 大 威 瑟 斯 彭 学 生 电 影 活 动 中 心 参 加 了 由 其
主 办 的 中 国 农 历 新 年 庆 祝 活 动 , 约 一 百 五 十 多 名
学 生 参 加 了 此 次 庆 祝 活 动 。
主 办 方 将 会 场 按 照 十 二 生 肖 的 顺 序 布 置 为
十 二 个 展 台 , 由 不 同 部 门 负 责 , 展 出 自 己 的 特 色
或 者 开 展 互 动 游 戏 。 由 孔 院 负 责 的 两 个 展 台 自 从
一 进 场 就 吸 引 了 不 少 学 生 的 眼 球 。 孔 院 老 师 为 他
们 在 灯 笼 上 题 写 祝 福 语 , 邀 请 他 们 临 摹 汉 字 , 受
到 了 在 场 学 生 的 极 大 欢 迎 。 从 活 动 开 始 到 结 束 ,
孔 院 的 展 台 前 都 围 满 了 喜 爱 中 国 文 化 的 学 生 。
本 次 活 动 进 一 步 拉 近 了 孔 院 与 州 大 学 生 的
距 离 , 加 深 了 学 生 们 对 孔 院 的 了 解 , 极 好 地 宣 传
了 孔 院 的 形 象 。
